Ed Driscoll’s latest includes an interesting bit in the back-and-forth sniping from disgraced “scientist” Phil Jones and his suggestion that bloggers and other critics be responsible for “disproving” that his wild climate predictions be dis-proven; a tactic that Driscoll points out is the same as Dan Rather’s “fake but accurate” defense. Now, I’ve seen this “prove it’s wrong” counterclaim made and reported on a number of times in the last several days since the hacked emails were released and the AGW facade began to run like Tammy Faye Bakker’s mascara, and the one thing that keeps screaming in my head is that It Is Impossible To Prove A Negative.

What sort of congenital idiot who still calls himself a scientist would use this claim as a legit approach to empiricism? Even my liberal-as-hell college Jesuit instructors would toss this twit out into the snow based on this fallacy alone.

In what should be a series of further developments that surprise no one, it seems that the severity of hurricanes has been greatly overstated -read, made up- in recent years to reinforce the anthropogenic global warming policies of recent years.

Captain Ed has a rundown at HA of course… Former British Meteorological Office head Dr. Les Hutton claims that an A-level statistical analysis shows that hurricane intensity for the last fifteen years balance out globally and there has been no increase in the force of storms. More, the medieval warming period is now being acknowledged to likely have been a “global” phenomenon, and would be a big blow to proponents of the anthropogenic model.
