Sometime overnight (our time) Ahmedinnerjacket announced at a manufactured rally (h/t Drudge) that the country of Iran had become a “nuclear state”. That being a rather ambiguous announcement, one wonders if that is the “punch” that was promised to the regime’s supporters that was supposed to strike terror in the heart of the west. Personally, I think the only thing that has struck us is a bit of bemusement…

If there was any other detail to the announcement, it consisted of the description of the uranium enrichment program being now capable of enriching the stuff to a weapons-grade 80% purity, which we knew was ongoing for some time now- but that they had the “belief” that they shouldn’t make a bomb out of it; “otherwise”, he said, “they would tell us.” Because, you know, they are so very forthright about that sort of thing…

Update goodness! Protein Wisdom has an extensive listing of the sanctions imposed by the Obama administration in response to this grave “punch”… No business with four companies and one individual tied to the Iranian military. Wow, that’ll teach ‘em.
